“Envision Perimeter” Debuts to Align Vision, Action in the Region’s Most Accessible Business District

On May 20, Perimeter CIDs convene voices shaping Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Brookhaven

SANDY SPRINGS, GA—After a year of milestone infrastructure completions and renewed investment, the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (Perimeter CIDs), with support from the Greater Perimeter Chamber and Leadership Perimeter, are launching a new platform to bring regional leaders together around what’s next. On Tuesday, May 20, the first-ever Envision Perimeter will debut at the iconic King & Queen buildings in Sandy Springs, gathering business, civic and community stakeholders to chart a shared vision for Perimeter’s continued growth and transformation.

Perimeter—the business district at the intersection of the cities of Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Brookhaven—has turned a corner over the past year, moving from vision to visible progress. The long-awaited completion of the $800 million Transform 285/400 project from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has unlocked new mobility and access across the district. Major employers like Newell Brands, TriNet, StubHub and AIG have reaffirmed their presence, while developers are kicking off a new wave of redevelopment with the opening of live-work-play-stay hubs like Campus 244 and High Street.

“This past year has proven that big moves in Perimeter aren’t just possible. They’re happening,” said Ann Hanlon, Executive Director of the Perimeter CIDs. “With infrastructure coming online, employers doubling down and public-private partnerships delivering results, it’s a pivotal moment to bring our community’s stakeholders together to discuss where we need to go next.”

A Program Built for Stakeholders, Not Spectators

With nearly 300 business and civic leaders expected in the room, Envision Perimeter is designed to speak directly to those shaping the district’s future. This year’s theme, “Every Piece in Place,” reflects the coordinated progress happening across Perimeter, from infrastructure and investment to talent, transit, and quality of life. The program is structured to showcase how public and private partners are aligning to complete the bigger picture for the region’s most accessible business district. Program highlights include:

  • Transform 285/400 Project Update – Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry
  • State of Perimeter-Ann Hanlon, Executive Director of the Perimeter CIDs
  • Market Pulse – Ken Ashley, Executive Director, Cushman & Wakefield
  • Mayoral Remarks – Mayor Rusty Paul (City of Sandy Springs), Mayor Lynn Deutsch (City of Dunwoody), and Mayor John Park (City of Brookhaven)
  • Two Panel Conversations – featuring senior leaders from Cushman & Wakefield, TriNet, Marketwake, Newell Brands, the Dunwoody Nature Center, Dunwoody Police Department, Discover Dunwoody, and Perimeter Connects.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Tristan Cleveland of Happy Cities, an internationally recognized community design firm. Dr. Cleveland will bring a global lens to local challenges, sharing research on what it takes to build places that support happiness, belonging and vitality.
