Get Rolling in Perimeter: Your Guide to Biketober 2025 Resources
If you’ve ever considered biking to work, running errands by bike, or just cycling for fun in the Perimeter area, now is the perfect time to get started—and we’ve got everything you need to make it easy. With expanded bike infrastructure, local support, and fun community events like Biketober, there’s never been a better time to ride.

Why Bike in Perimeter?
Cycling is a convenient, healthy, and sustainable way to get around and see your community in a whole new way. With 11 miles of bike lanes, improved connectivity, and new trail infrastructure like the Ashford Dunwoody Biking and Walking Path (opened April 2025), you can choose your own adventure to work, shopping, dining, and more. Running from Hammond Drive to Perimeter Central West, past Perimeter Mall, Ravinia, and several restaurants, this new multi-use trail enhances the safety and comfort of active travel along one of Perimeter’s busiest corridors.

Plan Your Trip, Earn Rewards
Not sure how to start? Perimeter Connects makes it easy. Our commuter resources page provides guidance on safe routes, tips for combining biking with transit, and even financial incentives like $150 for switching up your commute mode. You can also take advantage of Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH), a backup ride in case of an emergency that you can access up to five times a year.
For those commuting longer distances, pairing your bike ride with MARTA or another transit service can be a game-changer. MARTA buses and trains are bike-friendly, allowing you to go farther and beat the traffic jams.
