Festive Family Fun: 2025 Holiday Events in Perimeter

Around the district, Perimeter’s community is gearing up to give gifts and admire the lights displays. With the sun now setting at 5 p.m., we’ve been looking for any reason to put up twinkly lights and sip on warm drinks. If you’re feeling the wintertime blues lately, try this list of upcoming Perimeter events to warm up the night with your neighbors.

Light Up Brookhaven | Dec. 3, 6-9 p.m.

The season begins in Brookhaven! They’re kicking off winter celebrations in Blackburn Park on December 3 with pictures with Santa, bouncy houses, food trucks, and hands-on crafts. Bring the family to watch the 40-foot Christmas tree and Menorah officially light up!

Blackburn Park will be in full holiday mode with a petting zoo, train rides, and the grand arrival of Santa by helicopter (courtesy of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta). Adults can enjoy local food trucks, holiday music, and holiday giveaways (first come, first serve)!

Check out the crafts tents to find Playfully Perimeter’s booth for a seasonal make-and-take activity, plus some free hot chocolate!

Dunwoody Holiday HQ

Be sure to drop by High Street Skate on December 11 for free skating and hot cocoa from 12 – 5 p.m., brought to you by Playfully Perimeter. You’ve heard of a midday walk—ever think about taking that trip to the ice?

If you’re overwhelmed by a full calendar of festivities, try these favorites from their upcoming events:

Sparkle Sandy Springs

More people are sticking around after work, and they’re looking for ways to unwind: 40% Snow machines! Live holiday music! The Sandy Springs Sparkle Parade! A winter wonderland is coming to City Springs on December 7: mark your calendar for a full day of lights, treats, and festive cheer. The fun will kick off with Sparkle Wonderland’s holiday inflatables, carolers, and treats from the Red Popcorn Wagon at 4 p.m. Shop the Food & Gift Market for stocking stuffers and sweets, then admire all the houses inside Sparkle Village, with light displays designed by Sandy Springs businesses, schools, and nonprofits.

Stay for the Sparkle Parade step-off at 6 p.m., with local floats, marching bands, and dancers all decked out in twinkling lights. Santa himself will follow the performers down Mt. Vernon Highway—don’t miss the procession as it passes by!

After the parade concludes, the party will head back onto the City Green to light the Christmas tree and Menorah. If you’re looking to skate, reserve your spot on the ice before the skating rink’s last session at 7:30 p.m.
