Perimeter is no longer just a place to commute to work from 9 to 5. Instead, it’s rapidly evolving into a dynamic community where everything just works: Excellent restaurants, scenic pathways, compelling public art, relaxing greenspaces, top-notch healthcare and hospitality — the list of amenities goes on and on.  

Beyond what Perimeter has historically been known for (think big corporate headquarters and Georgia’s largest mall), new developments are ready to top out, including the anticipated, expansive High Street, which will bring freshness to Perimeter’s entertainment and culinary experience. Phase 1 of development for the new High Street will create 150,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space, plus 90,000 square feet of new office space and 600 luxury apartments.

In addition to new places to dine and snack, High Street will be a vibrant spot for after-work and weekend entertainment, featuring retail shops, a three-quarter-acre park, mini golf, and bar experiences, plus space for concerts and farmers markets. Families can stroll along tree-lined paths to open greenspace after dinner, while visitors can enjoy the shops and residents can show their neighborhood off to their friends.

Bringing even more vibrancy to Perimeter is Campus 244, a mixed-use development that will feature spacious, modernized offices alongside retail, restaurant, and hotel spaces. This conveniently located office campus is characterized by open offices filled with natural light and surrounded by terraces and places to relax after work.  

Getting Around with Ease

At Perimeter, careful land use provides room for go-getters to land and thrive — from Fortune 500s  to startups, and everything in between. With so many top employers established here, Perimeter attracts a diverse, seasoned workforce.

This workforce, in addition to Perimeter’s many visitors and residents, can easily get around the neighborhood thanks to its unrivaled location. It’s position close to the heart of metro Atlanta makes it easily accessible by transit or vehicle. Travelers in and around Perimeter are already benefiting from miles of highway improvements and a smoother traffic flow thanks to the newly-reconfigured I-285 & GA 400 interchange, the “Perimeter Pretzel,” nearing completion.

Perimeter’s partners are actively expanding connections from Perimeter to the rest of the region by building a vast network of trails that will stretch for miles, connecting PATH400 to important spots like Perimeter Mall, the Sandy Springs MARTA station, and beyond. These strategic investments weave together a network of walking and biking pathways that will redefine how people get around, making life in Perimeter even better.

With the goal of becoming a completely multimodal environment in the next decade, even more future vehicular, pedestrian, and emerging technology enhancements will create a network of high-quality connections to Perimeter that will help alleviate congestion and promote greater walkability.

These developments are being spearheaded by the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs) in partnership with the cities of Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Brookhaven and other regional partners. Together, they are collaborating on long-term plans to make this neighborhood even greater.
